Alchemy designed a new membership development brochure package for the Palm Beach County Business Development Board. The piece will be used in the BDB’s efforts to continue bringing new businesses to Palm Beach County — and more jobs. Unlike many chamber and development materials, Alchemy eschewed the typical tropical colors and stock photos, and instead created a new graphic identity that utilizes the testimonials of long-time members of the BDB, and a color palette more in tune with the level of professionalism — and success — the BDB has experienced as it brought in Scripps and Max Planck, amongst other high-profile corporate headquarters and business expansions. 

Steve Owens, Alchemy’s Creative Director and Partner, says, “This brochure was literally designed to be a large, exploded business card that could be utilized by the BDB’s membership development team that would not overload the recipient with tons of data and reams of material. This highly and specifically edited membership package is meant to be read swiftly and provide compelling reasons for the next step — to request all of that data and supporting materials.”  

The cover headline, “In business, it’s easy to meet people; THE CHALLENGE is meeting the right people,” pays off on the inside cover: “The Business Development Board: CHALLENGE MET.” 

From a branding standpoint, with this piece Alchemy begins an effort to bring the www.BDB.org address and graphic to the forefront, as an additional mark alongside its established logo. The package inserts utilize testimonials and call-outs from long-time and current members who have been instrumental in supporting the BDB’s mission. 

 Going forward, new and redesigned materials will likely follow this look and feel, bringing the BDB’s marketing materials a cohesive and bold identity in keeping with the entrepreneurial spirit of so many of its members and prospects.
